| This is a reproduction of a map of the entire city of Paris known as the Turgot Map published in 1739. It was commissioned of Louis Bretez by Michel-Etienne Turgot, the Chief Merchant i.e. Mayor of Paris of the time, in 1734. It is made up of the general map (below) and 20 sectional bird's-eye view maps (you can view these by clicking the sections on the map below). |
